I reviewed Recipe for America: Why our food system is broken and what we can do to fix it by Jill Richardson quite awhile ago. You can read my original review here. As you may discover in my review, this isn't my favorite book on the food system topic, but she does cover a broad range of issues and it would be a helpful read for someone who is just starting to learn about these issues. I do, however, highly recommend her blog La Vida Locavore, especially her series chronicling her trip to Cuba and what she discovered about their food system and their experiment with living in a post-peak oil world. Interesting stuff.
