Awhile ago the organic skin care company Made From Earth sent me some of their products to try. I've been using them for about a month now and I wanted to share with you my thoughts.
In all honesty, I hadn't heard of this company until they contacted me, but they seemed upfront and honest in all of their communications with me. They claim some pretty impressive eco-cred:
"Our ingredients / plants are from organic farms. There are no toxic ingredients in our products. There is no diluting or watering down of our potent organic plant ingredients. There is no synthetic coloring agents or fragrances, or paraffin and other petroleum products are permitted. Preservatives from synthetic sources are not permitted, such as Parabens (propyl, methyl and ethyl). Lastly, all manufacturers must provide a certificate of organic certification from either of these three certifying agencies: USDA Organic, Eco-Cert, or QAI."They also source 100% of their ingredients from the USA, are partners with Cruelty Free, and have made a commitment to truth in labeling, something that does carry a bit of weight with me.
I have been using their soap, face wash, face serum, lip balm, and lotion and all of them receive very high marks. The soap, the oatmeal one in particular, leaves me feeling clean and without any icky residue. The lotion is light and absorbs quickly. The face wash and serum are particular favorites of mine. I struggle with some adult acne and this is the only natural product that has helped keep it under control. But my favorite is the lip balm. It is light, long-lasting, and is totally neutral in taste, which I prefer. Overall, in addition to being free of toxic and petroleum-derived ingredients all of these products were actually effective, something that many natural brands that I've tried are not.
Made From Earth is offering to one A Life Sustained reader a bottle of Sensitive Face Wash, a product developed in cooperation with the holistic skin care company Citrus Clear.
And the winner is...Tracey!
"This company sounds right up my alley. I haven't heard of them either so thanks for the introduction and the giveaway."
Thanks Made From Earth!
