Rhythm of the Home: Winter

Can it be nearly December already? I sit here wrapped in an old sweater, toes tucked into wool slippers, hot coffee in-hand and clicking through the latest issue of Rhythm of the Home. Yes, winter is almost here. I'm honored to have a tutorial included this season. Even though I'm still a beginning canner, I have boxes and boxes of Mason jars, waiting. In fact, since I don't use my dishwasher, it has been converted to jar storage. How many of these little treasures do you have? We use them for a variety of practical and decorating purposes, one of which is perfect for this season: a Snow Globe. Silas really got into this project and loves shaking his globe every morning and watching the glitter swirl. Check it out!

  1. The snow jar is a cute idea Courtney.
I have boxes and boxes of jars, but then
I have been canning for 30 years. Every time
I see them on sale I buy more, they have
    really gotten expensive!

  4. Cute snow globes! I remember making miniature versions of these as a child. We used old baby food jars.
